goldie the wild boar eat some nuts. Well, ther is a highway nearby and a lot of pedestrians with bikes and dogs and so on. Should repeat this on a sunday morning to get a clear sound of goldie. Recorded with a zomm h2 on 90degree, 2 meters away from goldie. . . I lowered the peaks to get a better normalization of the whole atmosphere. Goldie lives in the alluvial forrest in leipzig, mostly seperated.

Wild parrots started flying in and landing on the trees along mission bay in san diego on a cool, cloudy day. I walk around and catch some individuals and groups. Sometimes they fly overhead. I did my best to minimize footstep sounds and wind noise. Mostly, i did a good job of that. No. 2 at about 2:35 there's a nice group after a long silence, so don't quit beforehand. The stereo mics add to the liveliness of the sounds.

A grey squirrel at the edge of a wood seemed quite upset and repeated called for about 5 minutes. I recorded the end of its calling. It is also my first attempt at recording sound with my camera (canon eos 550d). There turned out to be a fan noise with a slight clicking. I ran noise reduction in audacity to remove it and to help reduce the sound of traffic.

Ambience recorded at a wine tasting evening, around 15 people to begin with, increasing to about 20 in total towards the end. Recorded using a single akg c451, run through an sqn 4s mini, into a tascam dr680d. Sorry it's not nice and stereo, but it was just recorded after an interview to give us something to work with in post. Might be panned hard left, too. A tiny baby chipmunk chirping at me and looking at me as a stern warning. It was about 2 inches long and sitting on a tree branch about 4 feet in the air. I took some matches, burned the whole package at the same time, then i moved it around the mic to get those lo-popping sound and all the hiss. I duplicated it on 4 tracks to get some stereo effect.

A fire alarm beeping at 3:00 am. It decided to beep, so i decided to publicize it and let the world hear it's voice. This was recorded in an apartment complex with the fire alarm just outside the door. It always does this at random parts of the day, and it's not that annoying but, it happens.

Recorded from a balcony with 3dio professional binaural microphone in to an olympus ls-14 recorder. The microphone picked up a small cessna airplane that you can hear in the middle of the recording. The microphone did also pick up the whistle of a person. Both at the start (aprox 20 min in) and at the finish of the recording. I´m am very pleased with this recording.
